Tembo Unit secures Ammunition Manufacturing Licence

Tembo Classic Engineering has received Ministry of Home Affairs approval to manufacture ammunition, marking Tembo Global’s entry into defence and security manufacturing.
Tembo Global Industries Limited announced that its subsidiary, Tembo Classic Engineering Private Limited (TCEPL), has been granted a licence by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, to manufacture ammunition of various calibres.
The regulatory approval marks a major milestone in the company’s strategic expansion into the defence and security manufacturing sector. The licence authorises TCEPL to undertake manufacturing activities in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory frameworks.
TCEPL, formerly known as Tembo Defence Products Private Limited, is now positioned to commence commercial production of arms and ammunition as per the planned schedule. The development reinforces Tembo Global Industries’ commitment to contributing to India’s vision of self-reliance in defence manufacturing under initiatives such as Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India.
