Tata Consultancy Services Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ABB to strengthen their strategic collaboration across IT infrastructure and applications, digital and industrial AI initiatives, data centres and emerging technologies. The MoU reflects a shared intent to drive innovation, operational resilience and sustainable growth through a long-term partnership.

Under the agreement, the companies will combine ABB’s leadership in electrification and automation with TCS’ global technology and delivery capabilities across key areas:

IT infrastructure and applications transformation: Advancing an agile, secure, resilient and cost-optimised IT foundation aligned with ABB’s operating model, focusing on operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

AI and factory modernisation: Collaborating on industrial AI, digital twins, vision-based inspection and OT-IT convergence.

AI infrastructure development opportunities: Exploring opportunities in electrification, automation, digital and software domains arising from TCS’ planned AI infrastructure development activities in India.

Morten Wierod, CEO, ABB, said, “Partnering with TCS helps ABB build smarter systems, adapt faster and scale innovations globally. India remains an important growth market, and this partnership will position ABB as a key partner for TCS’ data centre expansion plans.”
