Raghu Vamsi Group acquires UK's PMC Group

Hyderabad-based Raghu Vamsi Group, a Tier 1 supplier for high-precision components and assemblies to global OEMs such as Boeing, GE Aviation, and Rolls Royce, announced its 100% acquisition of the UK-based PMC Group, a leading precision machining company serving the Oil & Gas sector.

This acquisition marks a significant step in Raghu Vamsi's strategy to broaden its global footprint and enhance its capabilities, particularly in high-precision manufacturing for critical industries. By combining PMC’s expertise in precision machining with Raghu Vamsi’s advanced manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad, the company aims to provide cost-efficient, high-quality solutions across a wider array of sectors, including Oil & Gas, Aerospace, and Defence. This acquisition will also enable the company to enter European markets.

PMC Group, with over 35 years of experience, is known for its capabilities in producing complex parts for major Oil & Gas OEMs like SLB, Baker Hughes, and Expro. The company has an annual revenue of Rs 1.80 billion and employs around 100 people. Its specialised manufacturing capabilities include machining complex parts up to 6 meters in length using advanced materials like nickel alloys.

The acquisition was celebrated at an event with key industry leaders, including Gareth Wynn Owen, Deputy High Commissioner of the UK to India, and Telangana government officials like Shri Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary of ITE&C, who lauded the acquisition as a landmark achievement for India's MSMEs on the global stage. Shri Ranjan highlighted the role of Indian PSUs like MIDHANI in supporting Raghu Vamsi with specialised raw materials, reinforcing a robust local ecosystem.

Vamsi Vikas, Managing Director, Raghu Vamsi expressed enthusiasm about integrating PMC's capabilities, which will help the group diversify beyond aerospace and defence into Oil & Gas and bolster its presence in European markets. Gareth Wynn Owen praised the acquisition as a testament to the growing UK-India collaboration in advanced manufacturing, envisioning strengthened global positions for both companies.

With its expanded portfolio, Raghu Vamsi is set to support an even broader range of global OEMs, delivering solutions that align with the highest quality and precision standards.
