Piyush Goyal Outlines Four Pillars for India’s 2047 Vision

Piyush Goyal has outlined manufacturing, skilling, investment and technology as the four pillars supporting India’s aspiration to become a developed nation by 2047. Speaking at a recent industry forum, he stressed the need to accelerate domestic production, attract long-term capital and strengthen supply-chain competitiveness.

He highlighted that widespread skilling and upskilling will be critical to meeting the workforce requirements of modern industry, particularly in sectors such as electronics, textiles, automotive, logistics and renewable energy. He added that technology adoption—from automation and digital tools to advanced manufacturing systems—would ensure higher productivity and global-quality output.

Goyal urged industry leaders to collaborate closely with the government to build resilient value chains, expand exports and drive innovation. He emphasised that a unified national effort across enterprises, MSMEs, academia and start-ups is essential for realising the country’s 2047 economic and industrial vision.
