Kinetic Engineering Infuses Rs 400 Mn for Strategic Growth, Strengthening EV Presence

Kinetic Engineering Ltd (KEL), the flagship company of the Kinetic Group and a leader in India's automotive component industry, has announced Rs 400 million capital infusion from its promoter group. This move reflects the group’s long-term commitment to the company's growth and transformation.

The infusion is made through the conversion of warrants, subject to necessary approvals and regulatory provisions. As a result, the promoter group’s shareholding in the company has increased to 65 per cent, underscoring their enhanced involvement in Kinetic Engineering’s future.

This investment comes at a pivotal time, as Kinetic Engineering strengthens its position in emerging mobility technologies, particularly electric vehicle components, battery systems, and precision engineering solutions for global OEMs.

The company is advancing its role in the evolving mobility landscape, supporting both traditional automotive programs and next-generation electric mobility platforms.

Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Kinetic Engineering Ltd, stated, "It is an exciting time for us at Kinetic. The response to our Kinetic DX scooter, launched by our subsidiary, has been phenomenal. We are expanding nationwide and plan to appoint over 150 dealers this year. Meanwhile, our component business is witnessing strong demand and new orders. These funds will support the expansion of both projects as planned. This investment reflects the promoter group’s confidence in Kinetic Engineering and our long-term strategy. As the automotive industry shifts towards electric mobility, we are building the capabilities to lead in this transition. Strengthening our capital base enables us to accelerate investments in technology, manufacturing, and innovation as we prepare for the next phase of growth.”

The promoter infusion also aligns with the Kinetic Group’s broader vision to build a robust EV ecosystem, spanning electric vehicles, battery technology, and advanced automotive components.

Kinetic Engineering Ltd, with over five decades of manufacturing excellence, continues to serve leading global and domestic OEMs while expanding its capabilities to align with India’s fast-evolving mobility sector.

Its subsidiary, Kinetic Watts and Volts, in which KEL holds 80 per cent, recently launched the Kinetic DX EV. This model features several industry-first patented ‘EASY’ features, including Easy Charge, Easy FLIP, and Easy Key, alongside a strong metal body and 37 litres of under-seat storage. Powered by the Range-X LFP battery, the Kinetic DX EV offers a longer lifespan and greater safety compared to NMC batteries.

Kinetic Watts and Volts has already launched sales and service operations in Pune, Mumbai, Vadodara, Surat, Indore, and Delhi NCR, with plans to expand nationally in India’s growing EV market.
