JK Tyre has commissioned Phase III expansion at its Banmore PCR facility in Madhya Pradesh, raising capacity to 30,000 tyres per day as part of Rs 10 billion multi-phase investment.
JK Tyre Inaugurates Phase III Expansion at Banmore PCR Plant

JK Tyre & Industries Ltd, a leading player in the Indian tyre industry and market leader in the radial tyre segment, has inaugurated Phase III of capacity expansion and modernisation at its state-of-the-art Passenger Car Radial (PCR) manufacturing facility in Banmore, Madhya Pradesh.

The expanded manufacturing facility was inaugurated by Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, in the presence of Dr Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, and Anshuman Singhania, Managing Director, JK Tyre, along with members of the Maruti Suzuki leadership team.

With the commissioning of Phase III, part of JK Tyre’s multi-phase investment strategy exceeding Rs 10 billion at the Banmore facility, the plant’s production capacity has increased to 30,000 passenger car radial tyres per day, equivalent to around 10.5 million tyres annually. The expansion reflects the company’s long-term commitment to domestic manufacturing and India’s expanding passenger vehicle ecosystem.

Dr Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd, said, ‘The inauguration of Phase III expansion at our Banmore plant underscores JK Tyre’s commitment to strengthening India’s manufacturing ecosystem and supporting the country’s mobility growth. The Banmore plant continues to play a key role in regional industrial development, supporting direct and indirect employment and contributing to local economic growth. The facility operates with a strong emphasis on sustainability, adopting energy-efficient processes and responsible manufacturing practices aligned with JK Tyre’s environmental and social commitments. Over the years, the plant has also contributed to community development initiatives in healthcare, adult literacy, livelihood enhancement, rural development and the promotion of local sports, benefiting communities in and around the region.
