Jitendra EV to use Battery Smart’s rapid battery swapping in fleet

Jitendra New EV Tech Pvt. Ltd., one of India's leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers, announced a strategic partnership with Battery Smart, India's largest and fastest-growing battery swapping network for electric two- and three-wheelers. This collaboration aimed to revolutionise the electric vehicle ecosystem by integrating Battery Smart's cutting-edge battery-swapping technology into Jitendra EV’s fleet. The collaboration will connect Jitendra EV with Battery Smart’s extensive network of over 1,400 battery-swapping stations across more than 40 cities in India, allowing riders to swap depleted batteries for fully charged ones in fewer than two minutes.

Transforming urban mobility
Jitendra EV sought to lower the upfront costs for fleet operators by decoupling the battery from the vehicle purchase. This innovative approach will not only make electric scooters more accessible to businesses but also ease their transition to sustainable transport solutions. This partnership marked a significant leap in overcoming two major hurdles in EV adoption: Range anxiety and charging downtime. With Battery Smart's dense pan-India battery-swapping infrastructure, Jitendra EV users were able to access fully charged batteries on the go, at numerous locations, eliminating the need for long charging stops, making electric mobility both affordable and accessible.

Empowering EV users
Jitendra EV’s partnership with Battery Smart reinforced its commitment to sustainable mobility solutions. By integrating Battery Smart's innovative swapping ecosystem, Jitendra EV riders will benefit from:
•       Quick swaps: Fully charged batteries in under two minutes.
•       Lower upfront cost: Purchase scooters without owning the batteries.
•       Widespread accessibility: Expanding network of swapping stations in urban and semi-urban areas.
•       Cost-effective mobility: Flexible and affordable subscription-based battery swapping.

Samkit Shah, Co-founder and CEO, Jitendra EV, stated, "At Jitendra EV, we continuously strive to enhance the ownership experience for our customers. Our collaboration with Battery Smart aligned perfectly with our vision to offer sustainable, reliable, and future-ready mobility solutions. This partnership will help us accelerate EV adoption in India and make electric vehicles more accessible to a broader audience."

Prateek Joshi, Senior Director-Partnerships, Battery Smart, stated, “Our partnership with Jitendra EV is a significant step towards making electric mobility more accessible. By integrating our battery swapping network with their electric two-wheelers, we aim to simplify the EV ownership experience, reduce charging time, and enhance affordability. Together, we are accelerating the electrification of two-wheelers across India, helping more riders seamlessly transition to sustainable electric mobility."

Scaling up the EV ecosystem
Battery Smart has cemented its position as a leader in the battery-swapping space with its strong infrastructure and technology-driven model. By decoupling the cost of the battery, Battery Smart reduces upfront EV cost by up to 40%. This collaboration will further enable Jitendra EV to meet the increasing demand for high-performance, seamless, and affordable electric mobility solutions.
