Harting Showcases Future-Ready Connectivity at Trade Preview

The Harting Technology Group welcomed journalists from around the world to its trade press conference in Espelkamp, where it presented solutions for resilient energy infrastructure, industrial production, robotics, automation and digital development processes. The event also offered a preview of Harting’s stand at Hannover Messe.

Keynote speeches by Jörg Scheer, Senior Vice President Market, and Norbert Gemmeke, Senior Vice President Global Product Development, Project Management & Innovation, addressed technological responses to the growing energy demands of industrial society. “Data and energy/power are the essential lifelines of modern systems,” said Gemmeke. “Our connection technology ensures that both can be transmitted reliably and securely.”

As automation systems handle increasing volumes of energy and data, components face more stringent requirements. Grid operators depend on manufacturers that deliver stable, scalable grid systems and integrated energy storage solutions. Modular infrastructure, along with advanced connectors and cabling systems, is helping to future-proof energy networks and manage varying load conditions efficiently and reliably.

Advances in robotics and industrial production formed another key theme. In addition to conventional industrial systems, mobile, collaborative and increasingly autonomous solutions are gaining importance. Modular machine concepts offering high flexibility are supporting the transition to future-ready factories by enabling adaptation to evolving production requirements.

Automation trends were also highlighted, including higher data rates, a growing variety of devices and increasingly networked production environments. Modern shielding concepts, hybrid connection technology and modular designs are enabling more flexible machine architectures. Digital tools such as configurators and data services further support planning and procurement processes, helping companies identify and integrate technical solutions more quickly.

Product experts demonstrated exhibits and live applications to illustrate practical use cases, recreating the experience of a trade fair stand and providing a preview of Harting’s presence at Hannover Messe. These examples showed how connection technology underpins electrified and digitally enabled industry. “In many applications, whether a system operates reliably ultimately depends on having the right interface. That’s why we place an emphasis on high quality standards and reliable products,” said Danny Hörig, Industry Segment Manager Robotics at Harting.

A few days later, the Hannover Messe preview brought together international media representatives once again, offering further insight into Harting’s focus areas for this year’s trade fair and the technologies shaping the future of industrial connectivity.
