Epsilon Carbon awarded SA8000 certification for social accountability commitment

Epsilon Carbon is the first Indian carbon black manufacturer to be awarded the SA8000 certification.
Epsilon Carbon Pvt. Ltd., a prominent figure in the carbon industry, has attained the esteemed SA8000 certification from Social Accountability International (SAI), marking a remarkable achievement in prioritising social accountability and worker welfare. Being the inaugural Indian carbon black manufacturer to receive such recognition, Epsilon Carbon showcases its unwavering dedication to ethical conduct and bettering the lives of over 1,800 workers and their families in Vijayanagar, Karnataka.
This certification illustrates Epsilon Carbon's steadfast commitment to providing its workers with quality housing, elevated living standards, a pristine environment, and equitable wages in accordance with national standards, a step towards economic equity. Moreover, Epsilon Carbon actively participates in community-centric initiatives, significantly benefiting its workers and their families. Recognising the challenges encountered by migrant workers, the company extends comprehensive logistical support to facilitate their smooth transition and access to essential services upon relocation to Epsilon’s township.
