Ammann India rolls out its first ABG Paver and launches a high-tech parts warehouse in Gujarat, boosting local manufacturing, service support, and exports for road construction equipment.

Ammann India has reached a major milestone in its growth and integration strategy with the successful roll-out of the first ABG Pave ABG 5420 Tracked Paver (Tier 3) from its newly launched assembly line at the cutting-edge Ditasan manufacturing plant in Gujarat. This key event marks the completion of ABG Paver business integration into Ammann India and reinforces the company’s commitment to the Indian Government’s ‘Make in India for the World’ initiative. The launch highlights Ammann’s strategic emphasis on localisation, innovation, and delivering world-class road construction solutions from India.

The ceremonial launch was led by Bernd Holz, Executive Vice President, ABG General Management, and Dheeraj Panda, Managing Director, Ammann India, alongside senior leadership. India’s construction sector is undergoing fast-paced transformation, supported by major government infrastructure schemes such as Bharatmala, PM Gati Shakti, and Smart Cities Mission.

With this facility, Ammann is better placed to meet the rising demand for advanced, fuel-efficient, and emission-compliant road construction machinery. The ABG 5420, aligned with Tier 3 emission norms, is tailored for Indian contractors who demand high performance, reliability, and sustainability in a more regulated environment.

Additionally, the ABG 5420 has been developed for global markets, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, positioning India as a strategic export base offering competitively priced, Tier 3-compliant pavers. In the coming months, more pavers will be produced for both domestic and international clients, expanding the company’s global footprint.

Further, Ammann India inaugurated a dedicated ABG warehouse at the same Ditasan site, covering over 10,000 square feet with an additional 2,000+ square feet for material staging. The facility features advanced material handling systems with a capacity of up to 1,200 kg per shelf, along with a sophisticated multi-tier racking system accommodating 1,800 SKUs across 8 levels. The strategic layout, designed for scalability and future expansion, significantly boosts Ammann India’s production capacity and aftermarket parts support for ABG products through faster parts availability, efficient material flow, reduced delivery timelines, and enhanced service response.
