HHV Group gets QVC certification for HMC Lab from SAC, ISRO

HHVAT, a subsidiary of Bengaluru-based HHV Group, continues to solidify its position in space technology by securing the Qualification Validity Certification from ISRO's Space Applications Centre for its Hybrid Micro Circuit (HMC) Lab. This certification underscores HHVAT's expertise in metallization and lithography processes on alumina substrates crucial for space flight applications.

For over six decades, the HHV Group has been an integral part of ISRO's journey, contributing significantly to various missions and projects. From pioneering India's first space simulation chamber to supplying essential machinery and components, HHVAT has been a trusted partner across ISRO units.

The state-of-the-art HMC Lab boasts advanced capabilities, including the production of 2-layer and 3-layer Thin Film Metallized Circuits (TFMC) with exceptional line accuracy using photolithography processes. Equipped with cutting-edge technology such as production sputter coating systems, laser writers, and precision measurement tools, the lab ensures stringent quality standards in every aspect of circuit fabrication.

“HHV works closely with scientists of ISRO on these Hybrid Micro Circuits in realising various Flight Mode projects. The Chandrayaan-3’s landing on the moon has made India proud and put a feather on the cap of HHVAT for its contribution towards Make in India. Operated within an ISO 7 clean room environment and featuring ISO 5 laminar flow stations for substrate handling, the HMC Lab adheres to rigorous cleanliness protocols essential for space-grade components. Its annual production capacity of 25,000 1-inch square metallized substrates further highlights its commitment to meeting the demands of both space and defence applications.
