Bharat Forge to Set Up Advanced Ring Mill for Aerospace Applications

Bharat Forge Ltd. is establishing a state-of-the-art ring mill for aerospace applications, strengthening its partnership with Pratt & Whitney Canada, and advancing India’s aerospace manufacturing capabilities.
Bharat Forge Ltd. (BFL), a global leader in advanced forging and precision engineering, is set to establish a new advanced ring mill dedicated to aerospace applications. This move follows the signing of contracts with Pratt & Whitney, Canada, for the supply of aerospace components. The new ring mill will be part of BFL’s ongoing expansion of its aerospace manufacturing capabilities. This facility will focus on producing high-performance aerospace products for aero-engine applications, employing cutting-edge technologies and maintaining the highest global quality and traceability standards.
Amit Kalyani, Vice-Chairman and JMD, Bharat Forge Ltd., remarked, "We are excited to deepen our strategic relationship with Pratt & Whitney Canada through the establishment of this new ring mill. It not only reinforces our commitment to the global aerospace ecosystem but also represents a significant step forward in advancing India’s manufacturing capabilities in high-value aerospace components."

Pratt & Whitney has been present in India for more than seven decades, employing over 800 individuals who contribute to developing the next generation of dependable engines."
The new ring mill is scheduled to be operational by 2026 and will support both domestic and international aerospace programmes. It will also play a key role in India’s ambition to become a global aerospace manufacturing hub.
