- Have 3 or 4 or 4 + 1 strands – right hand lay or left
- Lay of the wire strands can be right or left hand from 2.8 x D up to 4.0 x D
- In case of the four strand cores, the centre strand is inserted to support the outer strands
- Diameter starts from 4 mm upwards
- Diameter steps are made as required by customer or else steps of 0.25 mm are provided when not specified
- Tolerance of ropes is mutually agreed upon
- Uses of the steel wire rope
- Used to construct ropes elevator
