Aarco manufactures an extensive range of heavy duty winches up to SO tons capacity to suit different site conditions and uses. It can perform hauling, lifting, well sinking and wagon shunting duties. Both electrical and mechanical winches are available. All designs are as per relevant IS standard and also as per IPSS or RSN or Tisco standards, and the company is one of the approved winch supplier to all steel plants. The winches incorporate a high torque crane duty motor coupled with spur-helical or worm reduction gearbox. The gearbox rotates the rope drum which is supported on pedestals. An automatic electromagnetic or hydraulic thruster brake is provided between the motor and the gearbox for holding the load. The winch is mounted on a steel fabricated base frame and is controlled by pushbuttons, drum or master controllers. Direct drive is a dominant feature of these winches, totally eliminating chains and sprockets, substantially increasing efficiency, and reducing operating costs.
