Variable Speed Pulley

A variable speed pulley drive is used to convert any standard constant speed motor to a variable speed, that delivers infinite speed control for any desired speed within the range, instantly, frequently, accurately and smoothly while the machine is in operation. The variable speed pulley is a double coil spring loaded pulley. It comprises two facing cone shaped discs each sliding laterally on a sleeve. Through the medium of an equaliser both halves of the pulley move, which ensure perfect alignment and prevention of undue wear on variable speed belt. The speed variation achieved is 1:3 and in combination with various fixed pulley practically full middle speed range is covered.
