Festo Controls offers Pick & Place unit, HSP-AE. This is available with electrical drive is a true sprinter when it comes to handling and assembling electronic components, operating nimbly even in restricted spaces. As a link-guided unit, this works precisely and reliably in a minimum of space to handle miniature work pieces with typical weights of up to 100 g. It is setting new records on production lines with cycle times of 0.6 to 1.0 seconds. This module is thus able to handle up to 100 work pieces a minute, which makes it highly cost-effective and able to offer productivity, increases of up to 20%. A combination of the HSP-AE and the new intelligent DC motor MTR-DCI provides even more flexibility in confined spaces. The result is reliable and precise positioning, even after countless pick & place cycles. The electrical drive MTR-DCI combines three components (motor/gearbox, controller, power electronics) in one. Originally developed for size-changing applications in the printing, woodworking and packaging industries, the MTR-DCI have become an intelligent team player backing pick & place modules.
