Automation combined with ergonomic operation gives an increase of more than 50% compared to manual loading/unloading. Able to reach into the longest trailer available today, Caljan BeltTrack can be used to load or unload many forms of loose-loaded cargo. As standard, the motorised belt can transport items weighing as much as 50 kg. With quick action telescoping and a belt speed of approx 30 m/min, the Caljan BeltTrack gives short turn-around times without compromising personal or parcel safety. Providing stable and safe transportation of loose-loaded cargo, the telescopic conveyor can be bolted to the ground, or run on carriage rails across the bay area servicing a number of doors. The conveyor is extended and retracted by means of a joystick, which is flush with the sides of the base unit, preventing inadvertent operation. The joystick is also used to control the angle of elevation, if this option has been selected. The telescopic action is powered by a gear motor to ensure smooth and safe movement. Each section is fitted with ball bearings and roller chains on both sides; all sections extend simultaneously, increasing the overall length of the conveyor as required. This provides added strength as the parcel, tyre or whatever is transferred from section to section.
