Battery Operated Cable Drum Transport Vehicle

Windhoff AG, Germany, has developed a cable drum transport vehicle with a carrying capacity of 16 tonnes running on a number of wheels and is battery operated. This is designed for automatic loading and one man operation. The vehicle transports cable drums of 2200 to 4000 mm diameter. The width of the unit can be adjusted by the press of a button to the cable widths of 1100 to 1650 mm, so that while operating on storage areas high packing density can be attained.
