Stacker Crane, Floor Operated

Hercules Hoists offers Indef brand Floor Operated Stacker Crane (FOS). This is a medium throughput, high-density storage equipment. It can serve racks from 5 to 8 mtr. The FOS is a suspended structure running on rails. The rails can be rack or column supported. It has a double girder on which a crab assembly is mounted. A mast is suspended from crab, on which fork assembly slides. The fork slides vertically via a hoist attached to the crab. Motors on the crab and girder provide for the cross and long travel motion of FOS. The benefits are: minimum operating cost, direct access to each storage unit, single crane can directly serve multiple aisles/racks, fully electrical system, does not require skilled labour for operation, and flame proof models are available.
