Heat Resistant Belts

Belting Enterprises offers a range of Heat Resistant Belts. Hot material handling is perhaps one of the most challenging tasks when compared to handling of any other material on a conveyor belt. For a long time, temperature resistance of 150-220 degree C has been the limiting factor for plant deign. While temperature control in absolute terms is not feasible, on many occasions, heat flusher beyond the permissible 200-220 degree C leads to belt burn outs, besides production losses. Keeping in view these factors, the company has developed the Pyroshield range of belts to handle materials up to 300 degree C. Pyroshield belts are made with a KEP (kevlar-polyester-nylon) fabric. Kevlar has excellent heat resistance and thermal stability. Kevlar is known to be light in weight and has the strength of steel. Pyroshield is a heat shield, which is placed in the top cover about midway from the first ply. This is a specialised kevlar fabric, which provides excellent insulation, protecting the tensile member, besides it also has excellent cut resistance and provides good rip resistance.
