Water tank waterproofing

Mumbai-based Plastic Engineering & Electronic Enterprises manufactures Plastiset WT, a unique composition manufactured to fill an urgent need for a waterproofing coating, which can be used in confined spaces such as concrete water tanks. Confined spaces do not allow the use of ordinary coatings such as epoxy or polyurethane containing aromatic solvents, on account of danger to the workmen in breathing the vapours. Plastiset WT being a water base polymer emulsion is safe and has practically no odour. It can be further thinned down for application by brushing, if required, by adding a limited amount of water to the mixture of resin and hardener components. Being water based, it is also compatible with damp surfaces on which it can be applied without any further thinning with water. The coating will polymerise in a few hours, to give a dry surface, which can be further painted or plastered in the usual way. Mixing ratio is one part of resin and one part of hardener by volume. Mix very thoroughly and add a minimum amount of water, to thin down, only if required.
