Vertical carousel

Spaceway Design Industry offers a vertical carousel. This is an automated storage device, which saves valuable floor space. The vertical construction can go up to seven metres (maximum). The shelves are arranged in two rows, held in special carriers. These are suspended at each end in heavy-duty roller chains. The shelves can be designed to carry any type, size and quantity of items. For small items, plastic bins of suitable size are used. The vertical shelves are moved around by an electro-mechanical device operated by a microprocessor based logic circuit. At the press of a button, the required shelf traverses up or down through the shortest path and is accessible at the window, in front of which is the working table. Storage and retrieval of items thus becomes error- and fatigue-free. Further automation is possible with a computer interface. There are elaborate safety devices in the system. These systems are essentially custom designed, according to client requirements.
