A joint venture between Zoom Enterprises and China-based YAPP Automotive Parts Co, YAPP Zoom Automotive Systems manufactures the plastic fuel tanks at a modern and well equipped manufacturing infrastructure. The manufacturing infrastructure includes a plant at Chennai. The blow moulded plastic fuel tanks the company makes are considered to be more robust. Mono and multi-layered, the tanks are also claimed to withstand more abuse and are therefore safer and lighter than metal tanks.
