Panel Type Water Tanks

Devi Polymers manufactures Flosto panel type water tanks. Sheet moulding compound (SMC) panels are computer designed using finite element analysis. Panels have been extensively tested in laboratories as well as actual field conditions and have been found to be conforming/exceeding minimum industry standards for this product. Specially formulated sheet moulding compound (SMC) is used to make these panels. SMC is a mixture of isophthalic polyester resin, glassfibre, catralyst, UV stabisizer, pigment, filter and low profile additive. A charge of SMC is placed into a matched steel mould. Mould temperature is maintained around 140ºC and the charge is pressed at 1000 tones. A cure time of about 5 minutes is allowed for the formation of the rigid panel after which the press is opened and the moulded panel removed. Advantages: smooth finish on both faces; matched pressure die moulding; UV protection; opaque moulding; maintenance free panel finish; and 100 % cure of grip.
