In today"s world of stringent quality levels, shop floors producing components using advanced high precision machinery, quite often face the disturbing effects of vibrations, from the shop floor. The ground below acts as a single monolithic block through which the vibrations travel from machine to machine on a single shop floor. The best way to isolate the vibrations getting transmitted to the ground below is by providing an efficient vibration isolator between the machine and substructure. These spring and visco-damper based isolators are far superior to the conventionally used rubber mounts. The units are cheaper and technically efficient (vibration isolation efficiency - 80 to 90%) than the conventional solutions.
