Conventional rust removers and rust preventers/inhibitors when applied on a surface only prevent free access of air thereby slowing down the rate at which a metal rusts. However, the entrapped moisture below the solvent surface continues the process of rusting therefore it requires frequent application. MTS RustgardTM uses water as a medium top penetrate the porous rust and react directly with it to form an inert, organometallic complex and this convert rust to stable surface/reforming it. This not only eliminates all traces of rust on the surface but from within tool. The material thus treated does not require repeated treatment for rust prevention and hence giving protection for much longer period of time.
