Universal Gasketing Compound

Project Sales Corporation offers a Universal Gasketing Compound. It is a unique non hardening sealant developed for sealing of aircraft engines. It is used in the Industry for sealing metal-to metal joints at high temperatures, in the presence of oils, fuels and gases. It is a permanently plastic, very adhesive sealing compound based on polyurethane. Due to its excellent thermal, mechanical and chemical resistance, the sealing compound is especially suited for highly stressed joints. The material can handle temperatures up to 250oC and up to +300oC for short time. It is resistant against mineral oils and synthetic oils, fuels, additives, gases, water, antifreeze, etc. Technical advantages: high temperature range from 250oC to 300oC compared to others for gasketing applications; completely resistant to oil, fuels, gases, water, air, antifreeze and many others; non-hardening - hence handles vibrations and lateral movements better; seals all asperities in metal to metal joints with easy application and has an unlimited assembly time. Application: turbine pedestal bearing; parting planes; oil joints in turbines; engines; high temperature gear box; flanges; as a gasket dressing; product on pre-formed; gaskets for better sealing in the presence of oils and fuels; diesel engines cylinder; head gasket; inlet manifolds, oil sumps and in thread sealing applications; in drain plugs, etc.
