SPRING WASHER

Atop Fasteners offers spring washers also referred to as helical spring lock washers. These serve to counteract the loss in inherent tension caused due to setting or creep of a bolt/nut assembly. The spring washers are resilient, thus they increase the overall resilience of the assembly. The inherent springiness of the washer compensates for any loss in tension, thereby providing the required clamp-in force to ensure the reliability of the assembly. The washers are manufactured out of trapezoidal/square sections of best quality spring steel. Each washer passes through a large number of quality control tests. The washers are phosphated or electroplated with white/yellow/green/black passivation or supplied in natural temper colour. Advantages: excellent bolt tension per unit of applied torque for tight assemblies; hardened bearing surfaces to create uniform torque control; uniform load distribution through increased contact area; and protection against looseness resulting from vibration, corrosion or fatigue. Areas of use are automobile, textile and machine tool industries as well as structural fabricators. These spring washers conform to JIS, ANSI, IS, BS, DIN standards and can also be made to customer specific norms.
