Metal Jacketed Gaskets

Madras Industrial Products offers Metal Jacketed Gaskets. Jacketed gaskets are extensively used on smooth flange applications and are ideal for Heat Exchangers, Autoclaves, Columns, Boilers, Valve Bonnets, Gas Mains and similar services. Construction: Jacketed gaskets consist of a sheet metal jacket, and a filler of asbestos, CAF of some layers of sheet metal. The jacket metal should be as soft and as plastic as possible taking into account the corrosiveness of the fluid to be sealed. The filer material is chosen according to the imperfection of the flange. The better the surface finish and the flatness of the face, harder the filler can be. Jacket material: Soft iron, Copper Brass, Aluminum, SS304, 316, 316L, 321, 410, Monel, 5% Cr 1/2 % Mo, etc. Filler: Non-compressed asbestos, CAF, Woven asbestos, Teflon, Ceramic Fiber, Graphite etc.
