Structural Adhesive


Hi-LOC 1053 is an all-purpose two-component reactive structural adhesive. The adhesive cures within 8-10 minutes at room temperature and in 10-15 minutes at temperature below 20°C. After curing, the adhesive reacts without the evolution of any volatile organic solvent, and the surface of the cured adhesive is tack free. The cured adhesive withstands high temperature up to 180°C. At this temperature, the loss of bonding strength is less than 3%.

Simple to use: 1053 A is applied to one surface as a bead. An equivalent amount (by volume) of 1053 B is applied to another surface. A rapid cure is initiated as soon as the surfaces are brought together. 1053 A and 1053 B are designed to be used as a bead-on-bead adhesive system and are not be static mixed. The surfaces are held together tightly and for long enough to allow adhesive to spread fine and handling strength to be obtained (8 to 10 minutes). Full cure is obtained in 24 hours.

Bonding of magnets, metal, ceramics, ABS, PVC, FRP, acrylics, marble, wood, etc.

Strength of adhesion: maximum shear strength – 240 kg/cm2; maximum peel strength – 15 kg/ cm2; and maximum impact strength – 30 kg/ cm2.
