Mini flocker

Flocking is a fascinating technique. Within seconds, in an electrostatic field, millions of individual fibres are "shot" vertically into a surface previously covered with glue. Textile surfaces, seamless and wear resistant, can be produced on every substrate very economically. It does not matter if the surface to be flocked is round, flat or irregularly shaped, as the material is not glued, but the flock fibres are directly applied on the substrate. Depending on the kind of flock used, the surface gets a suede or velvet like touch, becomes coarse like a carpet, or rough like a brush. The length of fibres is ranging between 0.3 mm or 3.0 mm, they are made of cotton, viscose or nylon, and there is hardly any limitation regarding the range of their colours. T shirts, sportswear, model train sets, cases, jewellery parts and decoration articles, furniture, shelves, fibreglass boats and campers all are being flocked successfully. With the Mini Flocker, simple flocking jobs can be handled easily and comfortably. The integrated generator generates a high voltage of approx , 70 kV which is not at all dangerous due to current limiting to 0.15 mA. Operation with battery (3 high capacity mono cells 1.5 V) or with mains unit (for 220 V or 110 V). Service life of the batteries is approx. 5 hours, voltage decreasing by about 5 kV every hour of operation. The applicators (flock cups) are available in 3 different sizes: small applicator of 60 mm, medium applicator a 120 mm, big applicator a 180 mm each available with a coarse and a fine strainer, to be selected depending on the length of flock in use.
