High-Temperature Adhesive For Heaters

Pyro-Paint 634-AS-1 is an alumina-silica based, fibre-reinforced, ceramic coating system used to bond, coat and seal refractory fibreboard used in the construction of infrared heaters and molten metal handling components in foundry applications to 2300 oF (1260 ° C). A new application for Pyro-Painttm 634-AS-1 is in the construction of infrared heaters; it is used to encapsulate and secure heating elements and ceramic cloth to refractory boards.
Pyro-Paint 634-AS-1 is rated for temperatures up to 2300 oF (1260 ° C) and exhibits exceptional adhesion to refractory fibreboard, graphite and ceramic cloth and paper. Pyro-Paint is resistant to wetting by non-ferrous molten metals, thus increasing the durability of the underlying refractory structure.
