Anaerobic Sealants

Metlok Precoat Services offers Anaerobic Sealants. These can be used for locking and sealing of threaded parts to prevent self-loosening, seizure due to corrosion and leakage through the threads. Coaxial bonding [retaining] of cylindrical parts such as bushes, bearings, collars, shafts, gears, cup [core/welch] plugs, oil seals and knobs is possible in addition to sealing of flat mating surfaces and elimination of traditional gaskets. These sealants are used for mounting of keys in keyways to prevent wallowing and loosening, impregnating porous castings, welds and powder metal parts to prevent leakage and improve machine-ability and to improve and some time make electroplating possible on porous parts. The company also offers anaerobic adhesives.
