The PL100i provides highly accurate and reliable placement of virtually any shape of die-cut adhesive component. It provides capacity for components up to 100 x 100 mm in size. The PL100i is configured specifically for integration into automated assembly solutions. It includes all of the hardware necessary for operation including a pneumatic precision-guided tamp actuator assembly, a payoff assembly, and a powered takeup (rewind) assembly. Custom Component Tooling (CCT) is the tooling package configured specifically for die-cut component, and consists of a vacuum chuck, blade guide pad, and liner guide roller. Features: base unit includes tamp (150 mm stroke), payoff, and powered take-up (rewind), configured for integration into automation, rapid changeover features, maximum affordability, 100 x 100 mm component capacity, multiple simultaneous placements, placement accuracy – ±0.2 mm (0.008”) or better (component dependent), optional EP package accuracy – ±0.05 mm (0.002”) or better (component dependent), optional dual force tamp for increased tamp force, 16-key applicator interface module (AIM) with LCD display for operator input, and optional secure AIM limits accessibility to approved personnel Benefits: patented retracting blade peel system, rapid changeover features, system modularity, and placement accuracies that are as good as ±0.05 mm.
