Adhesives for Structural Bonding

Parson Adhesives has developed the Partite line of Methyl Methacrylate Adhesives (MMA) in order to provide single source solutions for the need of structural adhesives in industrial assembly applications. Partite MMA fills in the gap, where two part epoxy adhesives and two part polyurethane adhesives lack the performance required by the assembly industry. Partite MMAs provide ‘cure on demand’, excellent balance of adhesion and toughness, chemical resistance, long-term durability and they need minimal surface preparation. Customers have a choice of wide range of Partite MMA adhesives to suit their needs. If they require fast assembly, they can pick Partite 7300, which gives almost a full cure within 10 to 15 minutes after application; or if they need to bond larger parts, they can use Partite 7390 to get a full, strong cure in 150 minutes. Unlike epoxies and polyurethanes, Partite MMAs are most suitable for bonding dissimilar substrates: metal-to-plastic, composites to plastic, etc. This range help industrial assembly lines save lot of time, labour, and capital cost by eliminating long fixture and surface preparation time while providing better ultimate performance to the finished products.
