Industrial Spares (India) Pvt Ltd, New Delhi, offers mechanical sweeping machine that can sweep and collect/dispose garbage. Inventa has developed this mechanical sweeping machine, Model R-490. It sweeps dirt and dust including papers, cigarette butts, stones, bolts, nuts, leaves, cigarette packs, chips, etc. It stores the garbage in a hopper of 35-litre capacity, which can be easily removed and emptied later on, without using any tools. By slight push the side brush flips the debris from the corners and edges to the front of the machine, to be picked by the rotating cylindrical main brush. Contact of main brush to the floor can be adjusted depending on the undulations of the roads and pavements. With very few moving/consumable parts in the machine, maintenance is easy. For longer life and rust-free operation, corrosion and breakage resistant FRP material is used for fabrication of bins and polyurethane powder coating is given on frame. Also, the size and weight of the machine ensures good manoeuvrability and operation by a single person.
