Digital Ultrasonic Cleaning -Generator

The sweepSONIK2 generator line is designed to answer increasing demand for extreme cleanliness on delicate substrates. Using patented, digitally controlled circuitry, this generator provides the ultrasonic activity to remove submicron size particles without imparting the damage that lower frequencies can induce on sensitive component surface. As frequency increases in an ultrasonically active system, the number of cavitations increase and the energy in each cavitation decreases. Therefore, higher frequencies provide a more thorough energy distribution in a less aggressive ultrasonic field. The new 72 kHz frequency is optimised for non-destructive cleaning action for disk drive heads, electronics, magnetic components and front-end steps in semiconductor manufacture. The design also permits the manufacturer to offer an extensive warranty of three years. A unique feature for all Ney tanks is their interchangeable use with new 72 kHz and existing 40 kHz Ney generators. To minimize the possibility of particle entrapment, four-sided overflow weirs, electropolished interiors and coved corners are employed in the ultra-precision applications for which the new generator is designed. Quartz ultrasonic models are available for aggressive chemistries which are incompatible with metals.
