Dock Leveller

Usha Hydraulics has introduced a hydraulically operated dock leveller, which includes an economically priced hydraulically dock leveller with manually operated lip and a Deluxe model with hydraulically operated lip. In the standard design the dock has a travel of 300 mm above and 300 mm below horizontal level. The standard platform sizes are 2150 x 1800 mm, 2150 x 2100 mm, 2750 x 1800 mm, and 2750 x 2100 mm. Usha self-supporting dock leveller significantly improves transport efficiency. It bridges the gap between loading platform and the different heights of lorries. A pit is made in loading dock in which the dock leveller fits. Various loading capacities from 3 tonnes to 20 tonnes are available. Dock leveller with 10-tonne capacity can facilitate quick loading operations by allowing forklifts with materials to travel directly from loading platform into lorries/containers. The lifting operation is by single or double circuit, 415 V, AC hydraulic power pack fitted inside the leveller. The controls are by an Up/Down push button pendant. While specifying the dock leveller care should be taken regarding max gradient (slope) of the dock leveller. This should be suitable for the equipment, e.g., hydraulic stacker, which is to be used for loading operation. Where gradients are not suitable too high, scissor type dock lifts will be more suitable.
