Rapier Loom

Jakob Müller offers MBJ6 model Rapier Loom for the production of labels, pictures and narrow fabrics with slit selvedges. It is specially developed for the production of narrow fabrics with slit selvedges. The newly developed universal rapier is driven by a spatial crank mechanism. This offers the clear advantages of smaller acceleration peaks and lower speeds during threads handover, in spite of higher weft insert performance. As a result, weft thread insert is gentler, which permits the processing of a more extensive yarn range. This fact is exemplified by the use of different weft materials from 20 dtex such as twisted and non-twisted filaments, cotton and non-reinforced Lurex. In addition, a 20% reduction in rapier weight greatly prolongs the services life of the rapiers belts.
