Optical System For Analogue Data Transmission

Niebuhr Optoelektronik have developed an opto-electronic transceiver for analogue signals. It is rail mountable and allows to transmit analogue signals, for example sensor signals, via glass or plastic fibre without prior digitalization. Typical transmission distances range from 60 m for plastic to 2,000 m for glass fibres. Signal range is 0 to 10 V. Cut off frequency is 5 kHz and the resolution is 12 bit. The electrical signal is well as the power of +24 V are supplied via screw locks. As optical connection F-SMA and ST connectors are available.
