Welding Wires

The MIGPAC series is a special purpose packaging design for MIG/MAG welding wires aimed at enhancing shop-floor productivity. The MIGPAC significantly reduces downtime caused by spool changeover. This innovative product has gained favourable repute for its enhanced efficiency, excellent feedability and optimal quality. The series is available in two options, the MIGPAC 100 (100 kg of wire per drum) and the MIGPAC 250 (250 kg of wire per drum). Highlights: increase in productivity by reducing cycle time; unique properties – cast and helix of MIGPAC wire is superior in comparison to spool-wound wire, savings on weld metal; the MIGPAC series significantly reduces the wastage caused by arc wandering due to superior cast and helix; arc wandering is an inefficiency most noticeable in spool wound MIG wire – due to the inaccurate feeding of the wire through the contact tip, high levels of spatter and excess deposition of weld metal is prominent; savings on maintenance – with an optimal combination of Helix and Cast, the wire feeding process is accentuated, resulting in improved durability of liner and contact tips; and a saving of up to 25% is noticeable in these parts. Typical applications: core industries – automotive, bogies, construction and mining equipment, railway wagons, ships; single pass welding – single pass welds on sheet metal; and multi pass welding – multi pass welds on thick steel sections.
