Vitrified grinding wheels

Bench grinding wheels used for general purpose grinding are made in brown aluminium oxide and silicon carbide. Cylindrical grinding wheels are for the purpose of grinding pins to rolls. They are available in brown/white/pink/aluminium oxides and also wheels in black/green silicon carbide and in a number of combinations to suit the specific applications. Centreless grinding wheels are for the general purpose of grading for steel bright bar, precision auto components, fasteners, dual grading for special applications. Precision grinding wheels are used in bearing and automobile industries, surface grinding, tool and cutter industries, internal grinding, and nut inserted wheels for spring and bearing manufacturing. Segments of rotary surface grinding cup wheels made in brown/white aluminium oxide and silicon carbide are also available. The idea is to achieve faster stock removal, superior surface finish, better productivity and lower grinding cost. Sizes of the product ranges from diameter from 50 to 750 mm and thickness from 6 to 150 mm. These are manufactured by Mass Abrasives & Tools under the brand name Kent Star.
