Vent silencers are designed to reduce the noise produced by the venting of pressurised gas to atmosphere especially air, steam and gases (nitrogen, oxygen, etc). They are installed downstream from all devices discharging a compressed gas to atmosphere such as: safety valve, ejector, snort-valve, relief/start up valve, blowdown tank, boiler, etc. Typical applications: combined cycle plant – CCP, cogeneration – CHP, power plants (new application or replacement), HRSG and combustion boiler, waste-to-energy plant, heavy industries, compressors and petrochemical industries.
