Vehicle Testing & Certification

International Centre For Automotive Technology (ICAT) is one of the accredited 'Type approval and Homologation' agencies in India under the Central Motor Vehicles Rules. Part of National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project (NATRiP), ICAT is located at Manesar near Delhi, and includes a vehicle evaluation laboratory, powertrain laboratory, component and materials evaluation laboratory, photometry laboratory, automotive electrical and electronics laboratory, calibration laboratory, material testing laboratory, NVH laboratory, powertrain laboratory, electromagnetic compatibility testing laboratory, and passive safety laboratory. ICAT also has homologation tracks and virtual development capability. The facilities at ICAT make it a facility that aids vehicle homologation and certification, and developmental projects and testing.
