Vacuum circuit breaker

On Load Gears manufactures vacuum circuit breaker (three phase outdoor), with a continuous current carrying capacity of 1250A. It consists mainly of three phase poles, mounted on a strongbox section steel frame. The whole breaker is supported from the ground by a steel structure. The phase poles contain the vacuum interrupter and the contact compression spring. The whole assembly being connected to a counter shaft by an insulated link is housed within the porcelain. The counter shaft is in turn driven by the stored energy of the spring charged mechanism. The latch ensures positive latching and a very light, and fail proof tripping.
