Under counter lathes

Universal Machine Tools offer "Misal" under counter lathes, which are high speed, performance lathes. They combine great speed and accuracy of operation with ease of control. The machines are robust, versatile and are ideal for production jobs. There are gap bed lathes having Vee on one surface, the other flat. The bed has been designed to with stand heavy loads. The head stock main spindle runs on taper roller bearings engaging and disengaging automatic sliding and surfacing feeds are effected by single lever. An interlock device prevents simultaneous engaging of half nut and feed. The saddle has large bearings surface and slides on Vee way in the front and the Vee ways at the rear provisions are provided on the cross slide for attaching a rear tool post and grinding attachments. Threads and feed box is suitable to cut Whitworth and metric threads. All thread cutting operation can be obtained only with the help of a lever but without changing the back gears range. The tailstock is robustly contracted. Sizes available: 5" to 20" bed length; height of centre 9" to 18".
