Triple Extrusion Line for Sioplas (XLPE) Cables

Supermac LV/MV Triple Extrusion Line for SIOPLAS (XLPE) cables is a state-of-the-art technology giving customer the edge of high quality product with incorporation of the wide range of products. Superb designing of triple extrusion cross head the melt flow distributors are optimally matched to the shapes and depth of the viscosities of insulation and semiconductor materials resulting in very low wall thickness tolerance to help the material saving for customer. The process of all three extrusions in one process enables the customers to produce the high quality cables guaranteeing the tight tolerance and meeting all specifications. If compared with single and dual extrusion system in tandem, the triple extrusion clearly offers the advantage of space saving and eliminate the possibility of any foreign material or dust/moisture particle to enter into any of three layers. Since the head is heated and cooled through oil circulation system, a better control over temperature is achieved. The process is controlled through PLC system, which cuts short the production start up by creating as many recipes depending upon the customers’ requirement. The best part of the design of triple cross head is the easy centring of cable. Once the centring is done, it is not required to done again irrespective of changes of different size of dies and nozzles. The special screw designs of all three extruders are dedicated to their own materials, which help getting the best quality of extrusion and maximum outflow of materials. The Triple Line can be given in two configurations, i.e., ‘W’ type and ‘Y’ type. This decision is taken after understanding customers’ requirements and space available.
