Tool probe with high precision

Blum-Novotest GmbH offers Tool probe with high precision. The probe Z-Nano allows fast, precise and automatic measuring of tool length and breakage control. In principle it is a high-precision switch, which is located in a rigid housing together with the corresponding evaluation system. When the measuring system is deflected, the switching status of the optical measuring elements is changing on a defined position. Due to this design the Z-Nano works almost free of wear. The switching status is indicated by an LED, which allows easy control of operation. The integrated electronics give the signal to the machine control. For the machine control, practical proven and optimized measuring cycles for all common control types are included in the delivery program. Even very long tools can be measured with highest repeatability (? 0,1 ?m) due to the linear actuation of the probe. The Z-Nano is available in a high precision version for measuring applications that require very precise measurement of the smallest tools. Tools as small as 0.1 mm in diameter can be measured.
