Widia (India) Limited manufactures CNC five axes tool and cutter grinding machine - Ecogrind x5. The machine allows easy setting with high work area visibility, accessibility and operational flexibility. Total isolation of grinding zone ensures no ingression of coolant into the moving sides. This unique design minimises the effect of thermal variations in the coolant temperature. The centralised grinding wheel configuration enables precision manufacturing and resharpening of complex geometries of cutting tools in a single set up. For applications requiring a second wheel set, an auto wheel changer is provided as an option, which is controlled as the sixth axis by the Siemens 840D CNC system. Machine incorporates the PC based digital system Sinumerik 840D with digital driven facilities; multi axes control with 3D probe interface; large data handling and storage through inbuilt HDD and FDD; user friendly operator panel easily customised to menu driven operation of high end application software through Windows O/S and graphic simulation of any section of component profile.
