THREAD & SPLINE ROLLING MACHINES

Machine Tool Equipment offers thread and spline rolling machines, models MTR-20 and MTS-20 respectively. MTR-20 is a 20-tonne circular thread and form rolling machine, based on the renowned principle of symmetrical movement of both roll shafts. A feature, circular ground guide bars, was incorporated for enhancing the rigidity of the machine. Each slide moves on three guide bars. The hydraulic system made up of standard elements ensures a continuous steady 20 tonne thrust. The tilting of the shaft makes through feeding simple and easy. There is an automated centralised lubrication system, which minimises the maintenance. This machine is also used extensively for burnishing and straightening (engine valves). The MTS-20 spline rolling machine has a hydraulic force feed unit. In this method the work is rolled while being forcibly fed hydraulically from its front end in its axial direction between two dies that are mounted on parallel spindles. When the hydraulically operated push feed equipment is employed, this method can be used for the highly efficient rolling of accurate tooth forms in splines and serrations up to 1.0 module. The job is clamped hydraulically, the rolling length is limited to 140 mm, depending on various factors such as material properties, number of teeth rolling accuracy, etc.
